Bakers Bring Your Best!

The 1st WKMS Cookies Sound Good Baking Contest 

Send us your favorite cookie recipe and a story about why you treasure this recipe! Deadline September 3, 2012. Judges will select 5 finalists.

Finalists will compete in a cookie bake-off in the food preparation laboratories of Murray State's Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management Program. Bake-off date: September 15, 2012.

Prizes: Gift Certificates for Kitchen Items at Elements, Murray for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes totalling $450 cash value! Each finalist receives a copy of A Summertime Grilling Guide from The Splendid Table, signed by its authors Lynne Rossetto Kasper and Sally Swift, provided by American Public Media. Winning baker will be a guest on the new WKMS program SOUNDS GOOD WITH TRACY ROSS AND FRIENDS.

Judging Categories: Prettiest and Tasty ~~Tastiest with Conventional Ingredients~~Tastiest with Unusual Ingredients~~Easiest and Tasty ~~and ~~Healthiest Ingredients and Tasty. 

Limit: One recipe entry per category.

Send your cookie recipe and story to: Cookie Contest, WKMS, 2018 University Station, Murray, KY  42071 or to msu.wkms@murraystate.edu with "Cookie Contest" in subject line by September 3, 2012.

Rules: No WKMS personnel, professional, volunteer or intern or family members may enter. Cooks must bring ingredients, necessary pans and utensils to bake-off.
